VUTCH s.r.o. is looking for a new Intenrs for its Test Laboratory and Certification Body in Zilina, Slovakia.

VUTCH a leading textile lab in Slovakia with a rich history reaching back more than 50 years. We offer to international clients, a broad range of textile tests and certification of personal protective equipment. In certification we are a notified body, recognized by the Slovak government to issue the CE-mark. We are also a member of Oeko-tex ® - a world-wide network of institutes involved in developing science-based standards that enable everyone to make informed decision when buying textiles.

For further expanding our activities we are looking for interns. This offer is open for everyone independent of age and gender. This job is mostly for candidates interested in obtaining some initial training and as an entry point to enhance your career in this field.

Job description:

The intern will assist existing staff with their daily activities. Will help and support the staff with their operation. In some cases, if the cooperation goes well, internship may lead into a part time and/or full time employment at the later stage.

The basic expectations of the successful candidate(s) are:

  • You are results driven, open minded, and enjoy working in team but can also perform tasks independently,

  • You are a good communicator in English and Slovak and can properly report to superior(s).

  • You are interested to learn on-the-job and prepared and enjoy assisting others with their tasks and in this way grow and develop your own knowledge and skills.

  • You are interested in working in Test Laboratory setting or Certification Body - you like chemistry, textile, administrative work, IT, or science.

  • You are fluent user o f IT tools – MS Office, Laptop, Tablet, Phone, Google drive.

  • You are a quick learner and can get the job done in an effective and efficient manner.

  • Most importantly – you are interested in working in this field in the future.

Job description:

The director will take care and manage office in Zilina with staff of approximately 20 people. The director will be responsible for the overall management of the organization and its smooth operation which involves management of human, financial and time resources. Commercial activities will be top priority and an essential part of the job.

The basic expectations of the successful candidate are:

  • You are result driven, open minded, a people manager and a participative team leader who inspires others. You involve the team to plan activities and increase efficiency.

  • You are an excellent communicator in English and Slovak.

  • Customer-driven is your second nature and you spot opportunities.

  • You are familiar with budgeting and financial management, and you report in a clear and regular way to superior(s)

  • IT tools necessary for conducting your job and to improve existing processes, have little secrets.

  • You are willing to travel abroad frequently for business and you are prepared to perform audits.

Experience and knowledge in the following fields or aspects:

  • Scientific background in chemistry.

  • Good presentation skills.

  • Comfortable in dealing with important stakeholders.

  • Driving license and driving experience.

Extra expectations or plusses and/or good to have:

  • Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO17025 and/or ISO17065

  • Knowledge and network in textile industry
